Born in Seattle, Washington and raised in a ski area until I went to Canada to study Philospphy in a Benedictine Monastery.  I traveled extensively in Italy, Switzerland, France and England as a freelance mountaineering writer and model for two years after college.  I completed my MFA at Naropa University.  My first book Open Your Heart with Bicycling... was published in 2006 and it won the Indie Book Award in 2008.  My novel Playing the Game was released in 2008 and I am currently writing the movie script for that.  My short story collection Stays and Other Stories was release in November 2009.  My next novel Cast the First Stone will be released in March of 2010, followed in June of 2010 by a creative non-fiction work titled Virtual Chaos.  I currently work as a regular freelance writer for Kasanova Magazine
