Jon Paul Martin

Jon Paul was born in Corby and for the last three years he has been the Arts Coordinator at KCAP.

Jon Paul is also a music/film producer and Multimedia Artiste and he has toured all over the world as a backing musician for various bands.

 JP has filmed & produced over 30 films and is currently working on an Alzheimer's Film a Theraplay Film and other music and film projects.

 He is a well-respected teacher of music and technology and has worked with education establishments in the local area advising and mentoring various projects for schools and colleges.

He is also a Soundbeam trainer/workshop leader and has delivered many workshops UK wide both with the Soundbeam and also lectures in Pro Tools-Cubase-Logic-Ableton-Reason-Final Cut-Film Production-Music Technology-Using Technology Within The Classroom-Building A Studio-Community Music.

Jon Paul was the Artiste in Residence at Lodge Park where he set up the NCFE Music Technology Course and the result was a 100% pass rate the year after he and the head of music Deborah Noakes had written the modules for the NCFE.

He has written,lead and advised on lessons for many Life Long Learning Music Courses ran within the Northamptonshire area.

 Jon Paul is a published songwriter and has written scores for film and jingles and musicals and is currently working on a Celtic music project and also some film projects.

Jon Paul plays guitar/keyboards/bass/mandolin/sax.

 Jon Paul was the first Community Musician in Corby teaching many of the young musicians in the 90's and running workshops/jam nights as well

 In his role as (part time position) as Arts Liaison Officer for KCAP at the Kingswood Arts College  he has the chance to support  local artistes with the help of Kingswood Arts Specialist College by funding projects through the Kingswood Community Arts Plan.

KCAP have supported many local projects and artistes by funding or advising on various art based projects within the Corby area. 

JP says 'If it hadn’t been for Kingswood KCAP would not have existed!! without them getting the Arts Mark Award then the funding for KCAP would not have ever happened!!
