BONNIE BROOKS Bonnie Brooks is an award winning artist, showing her work around the country. She has received the Raleigh Medal of Arts for extra-ordinary achievements in the arts. Bonnie did her undergraduate work at Western Michigan University, studying watercolors and drawing with Harold Hefner, of Spain. She completed her Masters at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. The artist studies of art are not exclusive to school, but she has traveled around the world to such places as Spain, England, France, Austria, Germany, Hungary and Czech. I am a realistic artist because I believe in painting what I can see. What God has so perfectly created. I do not want to do art that shocks people, but comforts people. I want people to look at my work and see the peace that God has created finding that comforting spirit.”
