Alissa Miller

My Artist Bio By Jimmie Rarick Alissa Miller was born in Seoul, Korea on June 9, 1977. She was adopted into the United States at the age of six months and lived in Florida before moving to Columbus, Ohio. She tried many different mediums and styles, but fell in love with oils and surrealism. Her love of surrealism stems from her compulsive daydreaming and admiration of Salvador Dali’s great works. Alissa’s work displays her vivid imagination and skillful interpretation of the world and people around her. Much like Dali’s work, Alissa’s art provokes thought, imagination and sparks conversation, if not sometimes controversy. Her passion for her work is prevalent in all her pieces and imbues them with a life all their own. "I have Dalínian thought: the one thing the world will never have enough of is the outrageous." ---Salvador Dali My Artist Statement: By Alissa Miller My work portrays a compilation of ideas in a surrealist composition. A compulsive daydreamer, painter, creator of images to inspire and entertain. To provoke random acts of thought through a simplistic form of oil on canvas.
