I was born and raised in southern California and have drawn since I was a child. When it came time to choose a career, it was between biology and art. My fascination with animals and nature won out and I got a Bachelors degree in biology and went into Marine science. Fine art was put on hold while I developed my career and raised a family. Drawings of my wife's dogs led to commissions for friends and a renewal of my passion for art. I have since expanded into depicting the wildlife that I love in hopes that my depictions of animals and their habitat will increase the awareness and appreciation of the public in maintaining our wildlife.
