GREEN Wendy
Wendy, a British national, groomed in Drawing and Sculpture at the School of Art, Mid-Essex Technical College, Chelmsford, lived and painted in France. Having developed feelings for drawing and painting at an early age , unfortunately had her coaching under Uxley-Jones curtailed as a result of family circumstances.
Despite this Wendy persisted and blossomed into a very versatile artist whether in the medium of acrylic INKS or watercolour. Her interrupted formative years, artistically, became an asset and allowed her to develop her very own distinct hallmark, whether in the composition of her works or in her expressive use of the medium.
Her style...neo-impressionist in the acrylic INK medium, and realist, often with an ironic twist in the watercolour medium. Her watercolours, painted later in her life, reflect a high degree of accurate detail through exquisitely fine brushwork to highlight the undefined expressionist washes normally associated with the watercolour medium. Her earlier work in acrylic INK shows tremendous energy and movement, at times turmoil, yet with complete mastery of the extremely fickle medium of acrylic INKS and many figurative works literally poured from the tin and sculpted in an instant as if by sleight of hand before the INK dried.
Being a very private artist, Wendy limited her exhibitions to the occasional one-man shows such as the Gallery Vallombreuse in Biaritz, preferring instead to concentrate on exhibiting at the regular Salon des Artistes Independants in the Grand Palais, Paris achieving status of Societaire. She also exhibited regularly in International and local exhibitions receiving wide acclaim from Ecxhibition Judges, critics and visiting public alike.

Talented painter with imagination working with acrylic INKS, a new and unique medium, which produced extraordinary effect unseen before. Also very gifted in the use of watercolours, creating works showing infinesitimal detail.
Works in acrylic INKS and fine watercolours.
