Art

I am a freelance illustrator and cartoonist and my main areas of interest are book illustration and various forms of design. I enjoy working in many techniques, ranging from ink and pen to watercolour and tempera. I like mixing them and experimenting and one of my favourite media is collage. My most characteristic style is quite simple and my works usually have a touch of warm humour.
Although I live and work in Poland, my artistic activities have so far been closely linked with the UK. I cooperate on a regular basis with an English card company, Colourstone Cards and I have recently finished a book illustration project for a London-based publishing house, Hodder and Stoughton.
Apart from humorous illustration and pattern design, I also love watercolour painting and photography. My favourite photographic themes are architectural details and close-ups of nature.
I am also a keen bird-lover and birds are one of the most recurring themes of my art.
I also teach English, mainly to children, a job that I enjoy a lot and find very creative.
