William Alan Discount, born in Greenport, New York. Served in USMC 1945-1948. Graduate School of Visual Arts. Illustrated Children's books until 1950, then entered Advertising as an artist and later an Art Director. The last 30 years has Free-Lanced from Hauppauge. In 1984 he merged his talent with the computer and started experimenting. The result was an ongoing series of striking and realistic visuals of landmarks and other subjects called DigitalWatercolorsâ„¢. WAD then developed a series of original art entitled "Americana Todayâ„¢"-Modern Folk Art. And most recently has started to produce Distinctive Home Portraitsâ„¢ You can view some of his work at www.digitalwatercolorsus.com and www.HomePortraitsOnLine.biz He has been married to Genevieve for over 35 years and has two sons: Jonathan, recently married who lives in Northern Virginia and Jason, who is single and lives in Australia. Bill Discount has been a Rotarian for 14 years and is the Hauppauge Rotary Scribe.
