I was born on August 12th, 1962, in Biel, Switzerland. I attended primary school at Büren an der Aare, and after high-school I studied english and german literature at the university of Berne.
Since 1985 I am a professional journalist. At present I work for Swiss Radio DRS2, the cultural channel of the german-speaking part of Switzerland.
I live at Binningen near Basel. Since my childhood days I spend quite some time on making music: After ten years of cello lessons at the music school of Biel I turned my back on classical music in order to play jazz (swing, bebop), blues, rock, and soul. I am the bassist of a band called "The Chicago Seven Swing & Blues Revue".
I am very much interested in web development. Since 1998 I have designed several small websites. My largest project so far is Mahjongg Solitaire, a web game which has been played by more than 7 million players since October 2002. And my latest game is Sudoku, the popular logic number puzzle.
