Renie Britenbucher is from N.E. Ohio. Her work has been collected worldwide and she has sold over 1200 paintings in the last 5 years on eBay. Her work hangs in many homes and that in itself, brings her joy!One series which she has done over the winters are folk art style snow scenes, with children playing, ice skating and sled riding. They are always done as a "Tribute to Vince Guaraldi". Vince Guaraldi was the composer of all the great soft jazz music that accompanies the Charlie Brown Christmas. Renie was thrilled when in 2004, David Guaraldi, son of the late and great Vince Guaraldi, purchased her painting. "It meant so much to me because that music has always been so special to me. I was so honored that he purchased my work."
Renie has been an artist for most of her life, always having a deep love for the creative process. She has created murals in homes, portraits, custom design and painting, and art as a spiritual expression. She has done spontaneous, intuitive paintings on commission, has participated in many shows over the years and has had her work sold in several shops and galleries.
"To bring a sense of joy through my art is something I wish to accomplish. I love viewing art which brings me a feeling of happiness, or triggers a great childhood memory, or makes me laugh. I hope mine does the same for the viewers and collectors.
Also, being someone with a rather bizarre sense of humor, evidence of this seems to show up occassionally."
Renie has been selling her art on ebay and appreciates this experience as it gives her more control over her work. It's a whole new world and one that has lead to many wonderful friends, both the collectors and fellow artists.
