Buster and Tappan Comics Profile

Born in Alameda, Ca in 1958, I have always had a passion for doodling. I used to rummage through my Grandfathers papers and look for his doodles to copy. Soon, I was copying my favorite comic book characters and drawing pictures of my pet dog "Bootsie".
In High School, I excelled in art but paired that with Drafting and Architecture because I was told, "You can't make money drawing cartoons".
In College, I graduated at the top of my class and was hired by Pacific, Gas & Electric as a design draftsman working on the Geyser Projects at that time.
"The drafting and engineering really closed off my creative side. Everything you create has to be perfect, balanced and exact. That stagnated my creative side for many years."
I am now back doing what I love most, drawing and creating comics that can bring out the child in your soul and a chuckle to your heart.
