I cannot submit forms. Why?

Some visitors may not be able to submit the forms on this site (such as in the guestbook or joining as a member). The reason is that we enforce form verification on both client computers and the server.

This site has been developed using JavaScript 1.5. It has been tested on Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape Navigator 7.1 and FireFox 1.0 on Windows. We do not develop for the Macintosh operating system due to its low level of use among internet users. We do know that this site works on Macs since some of our members are Mac-based artists. However, for pragmatic reasons, our developers work in a Windows-based environment. As such, some of the functions may not work as expected on a Mac.

The JavaScript requirement only affects form submission. JavaScript is not required for browsing this site.

Other Known Issues

We are familiar with some other issues that afflict form submission. Details on these known issues are listed here.

1) Sign-In Form will not accept First Name We have had several emails from artists trying to join who cannot enter their profiles into the site because the site will not accept their first name. Symptoms include filling out the entire form but on the results page getting a message stating that your first name was not entered. Indeed, your first name is now blank.

We have noticed that all of the reports using our troubleshooter show that this is afflicting some people using Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP Service Pack 2. We have made a change that seems to have fixed the bug.
