Thanks for comment. But isn't Frank Smith one of the big movers against phonics? Smith even mocks Flesch in his book.

Bruce... Nice comment on literacy. I suggest a book called "Reading Without Nonesense" by Frank Smith. It is a keystone book on my shelf. I am sure you would find it (and Smith's larger volumes like "Understanding Reading") of great value.
