Roo Sangster - Bullers
Roo graduated from Homerton College, Cambridge with a B.Ed (Hons.) Cantab. She then studied History of Art for two years and subsequently taught in London for ten years before moving to Norfolk with her husband to live by the coast.
She studied painting under the guidance of the Late Antoinette Symington for six years whilst she had four children and then began a career as a full-time artist.
Roo has also worked on several community projects including an Artist in Residency at Fakenham College in Norfolk and is currently leading creative art workshops for Cambridgeshire Development Education Centre.
Artist Statement:
I specialise in large oil on canvas paintings; either a single canvas or groups of canvases.
My work is influenced by place and person, which I interpret though abstracted forms, always searching for the essence of the subject.
