Jo㯠do Carmo was born in Lisbon the 9th of February, 1953
1971- School of Decorative Arts Ant󮩯 Arroio, Painting Course
1973/74 - Montreal-Canada, works in the atelier of the painter Enzo Antonacci
1975/79-Works in architecture (interiors), graphical design and illustration.
1979-1985- Superior studies in Painting by the College of Belas-Artes of Lisbon
1985- Portuguese Representation/expo in the 1st European Days of Art Schools, Toulouse ? France
1979-1993- Exhibitions with some regularity in individual and collective samples
1994-2001- Leaves to paint and to divulge its workmanship
2001-2003- Returns to painting and drawing. Completes eighteen pictures series: Scenarios ? theaters of the form
2004- Solo exhibition at 65A Gallery in Lisbon
- Professor of Visual Education and Ceramic.
- Director of the Department of Arts in the Almirante Gago Coutinho School in Lisbon (1980).

Painting is for me something that, before everything comes from a permanent state of acceptance. From a vigilance of the senses which filters and records the little nothings. Then full of this mineral human gem, I become the tool of a vibrant acupuncture
