Sohel studied art and photography at the former Hyderabad School of Art. He later proceeded to London for higher studies in photography and art and worked there as a professional for six years. On his return to India, he worked as a professional photographer in Bombay. He became part of the Bombay art circle and pursued his creative instincts in the field of art, experimenting in various media. After moving to Hyderabad, Sohel has developed an entirely new concept of presenting Relief Paintings. The material Sohel works with is Resin based, it becomes very hard on drying and is not effected by changes in environment. The Paints he uses are Oil paints.
