New members do not automatically get front page permission. You must petition and/or meet our requirements.

The main reason your profile will not appear on the directory is because you have not selected anything for Area of Expertise in your profile.

Profiles do not appear in the topic menus in the navigation bar topics--only articles appear in those topics. Add an article to appear in the drop-down menus.
