I create collages, photographs, microphotographs, and paintings that explore sacred geometry with forms based on the Golden Ratio. Thematically, my recent collages juxtapose images of the external world from several levels of magnification. These images, while appearing abstract, are actually representational and obey geometric and mathematical laws of form that are similar at all scales of enlargement. In other words, they also have the fractal and self-similar structure that is implied by the Golden Rectangle. I am suggesting that form in art is based on a recognition and emulation of universal structure, and that abstraction and realism are part of the same underlying process. I have also played music for over 30 years and would be interested in collaborating with artists to compose music for installations.

What's on my mind...
