Ohio, painter Rebecca Grantham has a passion for creating plein air oil paintings in an abstract impressionism manner. I chase moments! I don't try to freeze time on my canvas much like a photographer would but rather, I let nature unfold and keep unfolding. I chase the patterns of color and light to capture the living energy of the unique moments in time before me. Most of my plein air art work is 'Alla Prima', -completed in one session on site. This can be anywhere from 20 minutes to an entire day until sunset, or repetative visits to the same location outside the studio.
