Priscilla Treacy
I have been a professional exhibiting artist and teacher for thirty years.
I love making art! I had two shows at Arcadia Gallery in NYC, but am now devoted to making a work of art every day, as well as to my students. I work in oils, pastel, drypoint etching ( I have a Masters in Printmaking), graphite, monotypes, silverpoint, watercolors, and gouache. It is not because I am a dilletante, but because I love experimenting in and mastering different media.
My mother was a painter, and my father was a photographer, and I was encouraged from a very early age to express myself artistically. I as very blessed in that way.
I am a recent cancer survior, so every day to me is a gift, and my way of celebrating each day is to produce the most beautiful piece of work I can that day. My work is for sale, by me, through my blog.
What's on my mind...
